PRIVACY POLICY
Rest should feel private.
This policy explains how SvaraSleep handles personal information on its introductory website and in its connected sleep-ritual service.
1. Who this policy covers
“SvaraSleep,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the SvaraSleep project. For questions, requests, or concerns, email Madhavsinghania22@gmail.com. The website and service support a personal bedtime ritual; they are not a medical service, medical device, diagnosis service, or medication adviser.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Early access: name, email address, consent to receive launch updates, and the request date/time.
- Account: name, email, and a securely derived password hash. We do not store a readable copy of your password.
- Ritual and reflection: sleep-profile answers, evening mood and stress check-ins, optional journal notes, morning reflections, and feedback on a sound session. These entries may reveal information about sleep habits or wellbeing.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security systems may process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser/device information, request time, and security logs. If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics may receive public-website page and interaction data. We do not ask Google Analytics to collect private journal text or sleep reflections.
3. Why we use information
- To create and secure an account, deliver the requested service, and personalise your ritual.
- To show your own check-in and reflection patterns in the service.
- To respond to support or deletion requests and protect the service from misuse.
- To send opted-in early-access or launch updates.
- To understand public-website use when you allow analytics.
We do not sell private journal text, sleep-profile answers, or sleep-reflection information. We do not use them for behavioural advertising.
4. Consent and your choices
Where we rely on consent, including early-access emails and optional website analytics, you can withdraw it. You may unsubscribe from launch emails, choose “essential only” on the website’s analytics notice, or contact us to request correction or deletion. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out before the withdrawal.
You can request access, correction, deletion, or information about your data by email. Connected-service account deletion is also available through the account deletion page.
5. Service providers and sharing
We use providers that process information only to provide their services to us:
- Render: hosts the website, application service, and connected PostgreSQL database. The current database is hosted in Singapore.
- Brevo: manages opted-in early-access contacts and launch emails.
- Google Analytics: measures public-website activity only when you permit analytics.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a genuine business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
6. International processing
Our providers may process information in Singapore and other countries where they operate. Data-protection laws in those places can differ from the laws where you live. By using SvaraSleep or submitting information, you understand that this processing may occur as described here.
7. Retention and security
We retain account and ritual data while your account remains active, and early-access information while you remain subscribed, unless you ask us to delete it or a longer period is required for security or legal reasons. Limited records may remain in backups for a short period while they cycle out.
We use HTTPS in production, password hashing, hashed session tokens, access controls, and other reasonable safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so use a unique password and keep it private.
8. Age and wellbeing notice
SvaraSleep is intended for adults. A person under 18 should use the service only with the involvement and verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. We will remove a child’s personal information when notified that it was collected without the required permission. If sleep problems are persistent, severe, or include snoring, gasping, or major daytime sleepiness, seek a qualified clinician.
9. Changes and complaints
We may update this policy as SvaraSleep develops. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Please contact us first with a privacy concern at Madhavsinghania22@gmail.com.
